Mitchell, D-Los Angeles, chair of the Senate Select Committee on Women and Inequality, joined by the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, is hosting a panel to raise public awareness of implicit bias and to help alleviate women’s inequality. UBP member Linet Mera will give a talk as part of a panel on methods of reducing unconscious bias.

Bystander Intervention: finn schneider from the Bears the Care Program will share practical and empowering advice on how members of the STEM community can help protect one another from bias-related harm. Learn how you can be an advocate for creating a more inclusive STEM environment through data, case studies, and engaging and interactive dialogue. Each person can make a difference! Refreshments will be provided on a limited basis.
